Mansfield Moose - April 9th

Moose tracks come down the slope.

I skied straight for the moose camp as fast as I could. The moose weren't on the knoll but there were lots more post hole tracks. I watched and listened.

The moose were not far off in fresh browsing territory. Another roll of film filled. Trouble is that the moose stood right behind twigs or trees and it was a rather dark day.

Dolly perked her ears. Molly in her bed.

Dolly perked her ears when she
saw me coming.

Molly was standing in her afternoon nap bed
and was about ready to get moving.

Dolly gave me some ear signals. Is that a warning to beware?

Dolly sticks out her tongue. Click for larger image.

Molly gave me an innocent,
bright-eyed look.

Is Dolly sticking out her tongue at me
or licking her lips at the sight of some tender branches?
